5 years of Cluster Service Rotterdam

It has been five years since Den Hartogh established Cluster Service Rotterdam. According to the company, this has improved the efficiency of tank container flows.

Cluster Service Rotterdam arose from the vertical cooperation between Den Hartogh, one of its most important chemical customers in Rotterdam and the terminal of CTT. On the site of CTT at the Butaanweg near Pernis, the team of Cluster Service Rotterdam takes care of shunting, loading and unloading. This is not only done for Den Hartogh and its customers, but also for other tank container operators.

Thanks to this service, the efficiency of tank container flows in and out of the chemical cluster has improved, Den Hartogh states in a press release. As a result, the total number of truck kilometres in the cluster has been reduced. According to the company, this is due to horizontal cooperation and by using the full potential of the local intermodal infrastructure.
