“In de afgelopen twee jaar hebben we een nieuwe organisatiestructuur opgezet zodat onze businesses, operaties en functies zich meer kunnen concentreren op hun kerntaken. We hebben ook een nieuwe strategie gelanceerd met het doel de verwachtingen van onze klanten te overtreffen, harder te groeien dan de concurrentie en het aandeel fijnchemie in onze portefeuille te vergroten”, zegt ceo Charlie Shaver van Nouryon.

Uitbreiding

Nobian heeft fabrieken in Rotterdam, Delfzijl en Hengelo, en ook in Denemarken en Duitsland. Het hoofdkantoor staat in Amersfoort. “We blijven eigendom van Nouryon, terwijl we ons bedrijf laten groeien onder de nieuwe naam Nobian, te beginnen met de uitbreiding van de chloormethaanproductie in Frankfurt, voor klanten in de farmaceutische sector en de bouw”, verklaart president Knut Schwalenberg van Nobian. Nouryon changes name of Industrial Chemicals

Nouryon is introducing a new name for its Industrial Chemicals subsidiary. The producer of salt, chlorinated potassium and chloromethanes will now be called Nobian.

The company announced the name change on Tuesday. Nouryon focuses on fine chemicals and Nobian on basic chemicals. According to the press release, the name change serves ‘to support its global growth and brand strategy’. 

New strategy

“Over the past two years, we have established a new organizational structure so that our businesses, operations and functions can focus more on their core missions. We have also launched a new strategy with the goal of exceeding our customers’ expectations, growing faster than the competition and increasing the share of fine chemicals in our portfolio”, says Nouryon CEO Charlie Shaver.

Expansion

Nobian has plants in Rotterdam, Delfzijl and Hengelo, as well as in Denmark and Germany. Its headquarters are in Amersfoort. “We will remain owned by Nouryon while we grow our business under the new name Nobian, starting with the expansion of chloromethane production in Frankfurt, for customers in the pharmaceutical and construction industries,” explains Nobian’s president Knut Schwalenberg.
