Het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds biedt financiële steun aan de Vlaardingse orgelweek. Hiermee wordt het antieke orgel in de Grote Kerk van Vlaardingen in stand gehouden.

Via het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds steunen bedrijven in de Rotterdamse haven diverse instellingen zonder winstoogmerk op het gebied van welzijn, cultuur, sport en recreatie. Het fonds keert drie keer per jaar een fors bedrag toe.

Educatief programma

Deze keer is de Vlaardingse orgelweek een van de gelukkigen. Met steun van het fonds krijgen basisschoolleerlingen een educatief programma aangeboden. De orgelweek wordt deze maand voor de achttiende keer gehouden. Hiermee wordt de instandhouding van het uit 1763 daterende orgel in de Grote Kerk van Vlaardingen ondersteund.

Orgel

Het orgel is afkomstig uit een abdij in Gent (B), waar het nog door Mozart is bespeeld. Het is gebouwd door orgelbouwer Pieter van Peteghem en kent enkele bijzondere kenmerken. In 1819 is het in de Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen geïnstalleerd. 

Hertenkamp

Het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds biedt verder financiële steun aan de stichting Vrienden van Citykids van het gelijknamige kindzorgcentrum in Nissewaard, de stichting Hertenkamp Maasland en de stichting Wens & Go.

The DeltaPORT Donatiefonds provides financial support for the Vlaardingen Organ Week. This is to help maintain the antique organ in the Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen.

Through the DeltaPORT Donatiefonds, companies in the port of Rotterdam support various non-profit organisations in the field of welfare, culture, sports and recreation. The fund pays out a substantial sum three times a year.

Educational programme

This time, the Vlaardingen Organ Week is one of the lucky recipients. With the support of the fund, primary school pupils are offered an educational programme. The organ week is being held for the eighteenth time this month. It supports the preservation of the organ in the Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen, which dates back to 1763.

Organ

The organ comes from an abbey in Ghent (B), where it was played by Mozart. It was built by organ builder Pieter van Peteghem and has some special features. In 1819, it was installed in the Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen.

Child care centre
