Uitvoering

Het schort echter, vindt de VEMW-directeur, aan de uitvoering van de plannen. “Alle opties zijn nodig. Om die goed uit te voeren is samenwerking met de overheid cruciaal. We kunnen daarbij niet wachten op internationale afspraken, en maken ons zorgen over de langdurige kabinetsformatie. Er is behoefte aan heel veel meer hernieuwbare energie, zoals groene elektriciteit en koolstofarme waterstof. En infrastructuur voor het transport van die energiedragers en CCS.”

Barrières wegnemen

“De industriële en andere energiegebruikers hebben, om hun rol in de transitie te kunnen spelen, naast netbeheerders, investeerders en technologieleveranciers de overheid nodig. Om barrières weg te nemen, bijvoorbeeld als het gaat om wetgeving en ruimtelijke inpassing. Om regie te voeren. En om draagvlak te creëren, onder meer door stimulering en bewustwording”, aldus Grünfeld.
