Dit jaar wordt waarschijnlijk een besluit genomen over de bouw van een testlocatie voor het Fieldlab Industriële Elektrificatie. Bij groen licht kan de bouw volgend jaar beginnen.

Industrie helpen

Het begin dit jaar geopende FLIE is opgericht door het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, Deltalinqs, FME, TNO en InnovationQuarter. Het fieldlab moet de industrie helpen kennis op te doen over de mogelijkheden die elektrificatie kan bieden, het testen van nieuwe technologie en met de voorbereidingen op implementatie.

Testlocatie

Een fysieke testlocatie biedt de mogelijkheid om technologische innovaties te testen. Naast de testlocatie biedt het fieldlab een Solution Centre, dat bedrijven bijstaat op het gebied van onder meer onderzoek, vergunningen en ook geeft het workshops. De derde pijler van het FLIE is een nog te bouwen demolocatie op de site van een eindgebruiker.

Decision about the construction of a FLIE test site soon

A decision about the construction of a test location for the Fieldlab Industrial Electrification will probably be made this year. With a ‘go’ the construction can start next year.

This was stated by director Josepha van Kollenborg at the seminar that Fieldlab Industrial Electrification (FLIE) held at the Industrial Heat & Power trade fair in Den Bosch.

Gaining knowledge

The FLIE was established at the beginning of this year by the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Deltalinqs, TNO, FME and InnovationQuarter. The fieldlab should help industry to gain knowledge about the possibilities that electrification can offer, to test new technology and to prepare for implementation.

Test location

A physical test location offers the opportunity to test technological innovations. In addition to the test location, the fieldlab offers a Solution Centre, which is located at RDM in Rotterdam and assists companies in the areas of research, permits and it also gives workshops. The third pillar of the FLIE is a demo location, yet to be built, on the site of an end user.
